In 2018 my account got hacked. I never had email address attached to account because I was young, and after clicking shady link my account was hacked. Hacker set his own email and verified it.
I knew contacting support team without any information is pointless, so I never tried. But recently, I found a transaction email that provides billing information, sales ID, and account username.
I messaged ROBLOX over 5 times explaining the situation, but they never tried to ask for screenshot with transaction receipt, but instead told me the first 3 letters of hacker’s verified email and told me the only way they can help is if I contact them using hacker’s verified email.
What can I do? Is purchase information enough to get the account back? And if so, How do I contact ROBLOX and how do I make them assist and help me to recover the account just with purchase information
Sorry to tell you but you should forget about that account.
These aren’t enough to prove your ownership of the account, ESPECIALLY if you don’t have a verified email address attached to it.
Why? Because a verified email address means a verified account.
If you don’t have a verified email address, anyone, literally anyone, can contact Roblox Support acting as if they’re the real owner of the account.
So yes, you probably won’t get it back.
Use this as a lesson for the future. If you got an important account, attach a verified email to it, so you can recover it if you got locked out of it.
True, but it seems like Roblox doesn’t accept that. I’ve seen a lot of posts on Reddit about people who got hacked, and they didn’t have a verified email on their account. They sent billing information, purchase receipt and yet Roblox denied these evidences.
It can still be possible to provide ownership like listed here:
The issue here is that the account was hacked 6 years ago meaning that it is unlikely that this will be used as valid proof of ownership however it is still a chance
Someone managed to contact roblox support and was able to provide valid payment information to verify his account. Maybe try making a new ticket and providing as much information in the description as possible. You can also attach screenshots by replying to the automated email when you first contact Roblox Support. This is all i can help you about
