But the majority of us can only get 10 uploads per month. In other words, 10 audio uploads until Roblox essentially deletes 80% of their platform’s user-generated sounds.

Then start uploading audio, so that your game can be fixed with in a realistic time frame, or better yet roblox is increasing, there licensed audio library, so i grantee you that one of those audios will fit the games people are making

I’d like to point out that the free music and sound effects that roblox releases into the creator marketplace aren’t as bad as some people here seem to believe. If you’re willing to sort through them long enough you can find some pretty amazing songs and sound effects of many different styles.

I think it more depends on how people view it; Different people have different tastes. Even I’ve heard some pretty decent stock Roblox stuff here and there, I even have one I really like because of how goofy it sounds. But honestly, a lot of people would probably rather upload their own audios instead of browsing through whatever Roblox has to offer; It’s a bit more simpler than browsing through page after page of supermarket background music.

So how do you suppose I replace 50 audios by march 22 with my 10 audio limit?

If roblox is going to keep this change, they should at least make it easier to get more audio uploads. ID verification is not available for everyone, let alone getting 2000 per month. Currently most developers only have 10 free uploads per month, and their games aren’t going to run off that amount.
Adding back buyable audio uploads for robux when you hit the limit may fix the half of the problem by giving those people who have the money ability to get more audio without id verification. What do you guys think about this?

verify your age, ask someone who has a higher upload limit than you to uploaded the audio so that you can use it, create alt accounts, or use one of Roblox’s official audios, like it’s not that hard of an update to get around. i have a audio limit of a 100 so i’m fine

Um, you can’t use someone else’s uploaded audio. A group game owner can’t even use their owner account for group game music uploads.

I’m not uploading an ID And have you not read the page? You can’t use audio uploaded by anyone else so alt accounts and other player is not an option.

Only YOU can use your own audio, plus verifying age does not increase it.

For real, I’m a student in High School. I tried to get ID verified with my School ID and my Driver’s License, but guess what? I didn’t get verified! Is that stupid? Very!

I have an audio visualizer game that I worked on for 7 months, almost a year! And now it’s obsolete because crybaby Roblox doesn’t wanna get sued by the big bad Universal Music Group (who you could practically file a class-action lawsuit against for intellectual property theft with how much they steal from creators big and small.)

Not sure about that, wouldn’t the audios being set to private just mean they can be set back to public and be used by everyone?

yeah its just setting audio to private nothing is stopping you from making it public again

Can I change the privacy settings on my audio assets to make them all public?

• While you are able to manage your privacy settings right now, on March 22, ALL audio that is longer than 6 seconds will be set to Private and all new audio will default to Private, regardless of length. We will also temporarily pause the ability to distribute audio on the marketplace while we work on a long term solution for managing your asset’s privacy settings.

Can I change my audio assets back to public if they are made private on March 22?

• No, the ability to set audio to public will be temporarily paused while other solutions are being looked into. We do not have an estimate for when we will re-enable the ability for you to change an asset from private to public.

They certainly can’t give as much variety as browsing elsewhere, but plenty of the sounds there are actually pretty good.

Doesn’t anybody read the OP? You can’t set to public now or after they lock it down, and they don’t have a time frame for when you can.

The reply time is so annoying lol. It is temporary, but Roblox tends to conveniently forget that

saying its temporary doesn’t help when you’re game isn’t ready and you have 10 uploads and 200 sounds that need replaced.

1. Team create DOSENT let you use other players audio(even when they are in Team Create with you)

2. You cant just ask another person to upload your audios, because they WONT work in your place as i said in 1.
   ONLY owner of audio can use them, no one else.

3. ID Verification will give you 100. But apparently many people dont trust their private information to ROBLOX(thats includes me).

4. Sometimes official Roblox music can not have valid music to replace your old audio. Thats also the main problem.
