Add a note to not flag old posts in the topic about flagging

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to know when to flag old posts, as they exist before the rules have changed, It looks like as if we are able to flag a post from 2013, however if we do, We would get a message from @FeedbackTeam called “Feedback - Flagging Old Posts” and they would tell you to not flag old posts because they exist before the rules have changed

If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my experience using the forum because I would easily know that I shouldn’t flag old posts because they exist before the rules changed

also small question: How many years did the post passed for the amount of time we shouldn’t flag?, and This is the topic I mean https://devforum.roblox.com/t/how-to-use-flags-to-report-bad-posts/41905

This is common sense, I don’t see why Roblox needs to add this to the flagging post explicitly

It shouldn’t need to be mentioned because it’s pretty obvious that flagging posts from 2013 for “rules violations” is just plain stupid. If you need it pointed out, you probably shouldn’t be on the forum…

From my experience:

  • Anything older than a week will get outright ignored unless it’s multiple flags to hide the post, or a “Something Else” outlining exactly what rule(s) were broken (even then it usually gets ignored because it’s been up for so long)
  • Older than a month is probably a mixed bag. I can’t say for certain if you’d get feedback on that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if feedback starts getting given past the 6 month mark.
  • Anything that’s over a year old will most definitely get you a “the rules may have changed” feedback, even if whatever rule it’s breaking has been in place since the start of the forum.
