I’m planning on making a game that allows players to export roller coasters to their inventory in exchange of robux.
The problem is, connecting players to the place in their inventory is impossible. How do I get players to the place? I don’t think there is a way.
I am asking for a way for players to find places in their inventories made with CreatePlaceInPlayerInventoryAsync. Preferrably in the drop-down menu when looking at your own place inventory.
Places created with CreatePlaceInPlayerInventoryAsync show up in the inventory under Places>Other Games. Alternatively, you can also give them the PlaceId and they can get to the place from there
They do not. What does show up in Places>Other Games is the start place of the universe. Unless I’m mistaken and have not exhausted every plausible lead, there is simply no way for players to access created places without actually typing in the URL.
Considering how ROBLOX feels about URLs on the site, I’m pretty sure my game would be reviewed and/or I would be banned if I told people how to manipulate text in their browser’s address bar, even though the website has no functionality. Stupid, I know, but you have to think of the children when developing for ROBLOX, and I’m pretty certain that “manipulating the address bar” falls under dangerous behavior for said children according to ROBLOX.
