Add Blender Support section inside #Help and Feedback support

Since blender is the most common modeling engine amongst the ROBLOX developer community i would like if the staff added a blender help and feedback to help issues regarding blender to roblox since blender forums dont have knowledge about roblox and most of roblox art design community in art design support dont have knowledge in blender

Although this could be helpful, I feel like this could cause Roblox copyright issues and it would be something that wouldn’t be too high of a priority because they’ve got other, better things to do

How? You don’t need copyright permission to have a support category for an application (on any forum).

Yeah but it probably be like #help-and-feedback:modeling-support to be more broad. Some people use Maya and other 3D modeling software so…

But yeah I vouch

I don’t think it’s needed, the art design category already gets few responses, I think splitting modelling up from everything else would just reduce the activity in each channel even more – the number of people who know how to use modelling software wouldn’t increase. This would also make things a bit more unclear as there is some overlap in modelling and everything else covered by the category (namely texturing).

This is the Roblox development forum. If you want help with Blender, go to Blender forums.

I think something better would be to split Art Design Support in 4 parts: one for 2D art and graphic design, another for 3D art, another for music, and finally one for animation.
The 3D art section would probably comprise of nostly Blender issues.

As i said earlier, blender support does not have any idea how ROBLOX work.

“An example is i want to import a character from blender to roblox, yet the texture does not import into roblox, why does it happen?” the blender community does not know what the heck is roblox.
So they cant answer

Saying that these Blender forums don’t know what Roblox is false. Analyzing the most popular forum “Blender Artists Community”, there are numerous posts that refer to Roblox. This also applies to “Blender Stack Exchange”. Furthermore, just because Blender users may not use Roblox, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they can’t help a Roblox developer. The example of the textures not being imported correctly can also occur when using assets from other places that are not strictly from the Roblox game engine. That said, they will try their best to help you based on their experience with these problems.

This isn’t blender’s issue, you should proceed to Help & Feedback - Art Design Support.

They know what Roblox is.
