As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to report illegal content on the DevForum.
There’s currently a lot of users with inappropiate descriptions, and it CAN’T be reported easily. Using DSA would be a lot easier because you can report actually illegal content.
The DSA report form only serves for legal compliance with the new DSA laws in the EU (that’s why Roblox decided to lock it to EU-users only)
If you spotted a user that has a description on the DevForum that is inappropriate, you can message the DevEngagementTeam with a link to the user’s DevForum profile.
The screenshot I took is from Meta and I didn’t see it there which is why I made my comment. We’ll see whenever the DevForum gets updated next though. The stable branch is a few versions behind and is missing a lot of features so only time will tell if this comes to the dveforum
Do we have an estimate for when DSA/illegal content reports will be out of beta? (I assume it’s in some sort of region based closed beta, because there is zero logical reason to be region locking such an important feature, especially related to child safety)
They’re saying it’s only in the EU because the EU has laws requiring such a service to exist on a website (EU as in the European Union, not Europe the continent).
DSA is only available to certain regions at this time. Any feedback on this should be posted elsewhere, this thread is for making it possible to report devforum URLs on the form.
If you disagree with the decision there are appeal options available as indicated by the form:
Once you submit your report, provided that you submit valid contact information, you will receive a confirmation email, an update on the outcome of your report, and, as applicable, the opportunity to appeal our decision.
The handling of DSA reports is off-topic to this thread.
No decision was made. This is a default response moderators provide when they’re unable to handle a report for whatever reason, no matter how much detail was provided. Just had some friends try the same thing providing paragraphs on paragraphs of detail and they received the same response. This isn’t about the handling of DSA reports, it’s about the solution not working at all. I’d encourage you to test the system yourself before assuming these report responses I’m getting are intended. Please stop shrugging off my complaints and shutting me down saying my issues are off-topic to the thread; it’s infuriating. If your so-called solution doesn’t work at all, it’s very much on topic to discuss it here.
My previous reply was made after discussing internally. It was not meant to be dismissive. Please assume best intent when discussing.
From what I understand from internal folks, people often use DSA form for content that isn’t actually truly illegal. It’s important to understand that the DSA isn’t a way for you to take down whatever content you deem to be illegal, it must be actually illegal. This has a very precise definition and you must reference the precise law being broken.
I am not a lawyer so I cannot comment on your specific cases, and I don’t even know anything about your specific cases. DSA reporting is far outside my normal responsibility of work. I went out of my way here as an engineer talking to people internally to get the form updated to support forum links, because I am passionate about resolving #forum-help issues where I can.
The email you received clearly states “Learn more about your rights to appeal our decision here”, please use that resource if there is an issue. I can’t help you with this.
