As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to . . .
As a Roblox developer, it is currently impossible to . . .
As a Roblox developer, it is currently impossible to see the most recently modified entries in our cloud localization table so we can audit the quality and track the progress of community translations.
The Adopt Me team will be making the transition from employing professional translators to using volunteer community translators in the coming weeks because we believe our community will source the best translations, since they care deeply about our game and thus have the best context to choose the right translations. Using community translations is scalable, and thus will allow us to translate to 20-30 different languages.
However, as we open our translations to the public, we have to be conscious of the dangers that bad actors may pose in slipping in profanity (or worse) deep into our localization tables. Roblox doesn’t provide a way for us to see what was most recently changed, so we would never know if someone threw in something bad.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my game / my development experience because . . .
Being able to sort by Last Modified is the first step in ensuring the security of our localization tables. More granular permissions controls, and mandated translator peer review (similar to a mandatory Pull Request before merging a branch into production) would be even better.
Current there are only two sorts available. A third sort - Last Modified - would be very helpful
