Add Member-Only Topic Option

There are times when I do not wish for the contents of my topic to be publicly visible to the public internet. It would be nice if we had a way of requiring readers be signed-in per topic, rather than per category.

You do realize that #lounge exists, right?

What kind of topic are you wanting to make that should only be seen by members anyway?

That’s for good reason. Don’t need new members in it.

It’s a private section for regulars. The OP is a regular as well so this is why I pointed it out to them.

If you don’t want your content to be visible to the public, either don’t post it on a public section or make an alt so you can post it somewhat anonymously. (Alts are allowed as long as you don’t abuse them to boost stats by liking all your posts for example)

Feature Requests, not lounge material. I said that:

It would be nice if we had a way of requiring readers be signed-in per topic, rather than per category.

But what is the problem with your topic being public? Is it out of embarrassment? Is there sensitive information (which should arguably not even be shared in the first place)? Is it supposed to be private for some other reason? If it just requires an account to see the post, someone can just take a screenshot of the topic and post it on a more public space.

It’s only accessible to full Members, rather than New Members. Basically it’s only accessible to forum veterans, since post approval and promotions are gone forever.
