Recently it has come to my attention that Roblox itself does not offer many badges, there is a very small range and on average a player that joins today, that spends no money can only receive 2 Community Badges. If they decided to create games they could then only receive a maximum of 3 Developer Badges. Total of 5/15.
My suggestion is that Roblox begin to offer badges for their own events to show a characters; commitment, activity, contribution and experience. Badges could be offered for the following activites;
Currency; 100k, 500k, 1M and 10M Robux earned.
Limiteds: 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 Unique limiteds owned. (“Unique” is to stop hoarders automatically receiving all badges off one item.)
Membership; 2, 5 and 10 year badges
Another suggestion is to run a few weekly programs such as Inviter Program or Ambassador Program. This may then encourage users to contribute to the community and have an overall presence, it may relieve the pressures put on Roblox Staff as community members may be able to help.
By implementing this I believe it will improve user commitment and community spirit. Rather than status being what groups your in or what limiteds you own these badges will serve as a permanent display of your contribution to the platform.
Below are examples of new badges I came up with, but I’m sure you can come up with many others.
Badges are a simple feature but give users an incentive to keep on playing.
“Years of Service”
Award badges based on how long you have been on the platform. Similar to Steam’s “Years of Service” badges. We already have the Veteran badge for 1-year users, I suggest that more are added to increase community activity.
Developer based badges
We already have Homestead and Bricksmith badges, but people like featured game devs should receive badges, and many more “Developer” badges.
Take inspiration from the XBox achievements for Roblox!
I know many of the XBox achievements were added to reach it to the 1,000 Gamerscore threshold, but they are some pretty good ideas!!

Award badges like Trailblazer (play 15 different games), Pollster (Rate 5 games), Marathon (Play one Roblox game for an hour) and of course…
# day roll badges
These are based on the ones given as XBox achievements. Logging in and playing a game on Roblox for 3 consecutive days, 10 consecutive days and 20 consecutive days will certainly increase community engagement.
I do not support this idea because it takes time away from neccessary updates for something that is not useful. Badges by Roblox serve no purpose just as badges on the devforum serve no purpose.
I fully agree with adding more badges, but some of the ones you suggested don’t seem necessary at all.
Such as the money and limiteds
Alot of people, especially rich people like to keep their robux amounts private. I think if someone had any of these robux badges, they would probably be harassed by people asking for money.
This changes a lot, and I’m not sure what relevance this would have to the actual player since it would only work for traders.
I 100% agree with this, we need something more than a year.
