As a Roblox Developer, I think that it’s annoying to have to renew a Private server each month. When you want a year of a private server, you have to buy it and then renew it 11 more times, which can be a hassle.
So I suggest asking the users whether to pay for multiple months of private servers upfront - 12 months of a 100 Robux private server would be 1200 Robux. That way, people wouldn’t need to worry about renewing their private server every month.
If Roblox is able to solve this issue, private server management would be more convenient for people.
One thing to consider is how Roblox would likely have to deal with cases where a user changes the prices of their VIP Servers. If you buy 12 months for 100 R$ per month, but then the user changes the price to 50 R$ per month, you’d be owed 550 R$ back now. (The first month would’ve still been 100 R$, you wouldn’t get 50 back.)
If the user waits until the 8th month to do so, would they have to pay out of pocket for all the “refunds” as theoretically they’d have gotten the money earlier. (After only 3 days of holding.)
Or would you propose that Roblox holds your 12 month payment and gives the 100 R$ per month to the developer, each month and then be able to pay out of that if the price changes?
Another case would be what if the price increases? Will you be asked to pay the difference or is that just an automatic win for you, for buying “in bulk, upfront?”
For fairness, if you’re siding with the idea of not having to make up the difference if the price increases (lost money from the developer) should they not refund you if the price drops to “even out the risk?”
