As a frequent Roblox user, it is difficult to remember when a badge entered my inventory. This missing piece of information is just as important as “Join Date” and “Friends”, here’s why.
Many achievement systems such as Xbox Achievements display the date each achievement was earned on its description. This helps the player remember how they earned a specific achievement and gives a greater sense of accomplishment for doing so. However, this is not the case with Roblox. You get a checkmark and text that says “Item Owned”. That’s it.
Badges are items that appear in a player’s Inventory when obtained. Nearly all Inventory items are obtained via user purchase, and a history of these purchases can be viewed in the transactions tab. When someone has thousands of badges, most of the time they don’t know they got there because badges are automatically placed in the Inventory. This may raise a few questions about the activity on their account. “When did I acquire this weird badge from this mysterious game I don’t recall playing?”
Roblox is shaping up to be the one of the world’s biggest online gaming platforms. As such, features that archive a player’s activity are a necessity. Acquisition dates for both Roblox and Player Badges would add an extra layer of security and provide a better user experience.
