Adding music in games fast and easily! No scripts required!

Hello, everyone! There are many new developers out there that need help with putting music into their game. However, they don’t have a scripter to do this. There’s an alternative solution! By following some simple steps you can add music in your game!

So, let’s start! For this tutorial, no scripting experience is required, of course. You must have opened the following windows in Studio:

  • Toolbox
  • Properties
  • Explorer

In case you don’t know how, simply got to VIEW and find the proper buttons to activate those windows.

Step 1

Go to the Toolbox. In the start page, set the filter to “Audio”. Something like that should appear in your screen:

Now, choose an audio you like. Drag it and drop it into your workspace.

Step 2:

Now, choose the sound you inserted into the workspace, right-click it and choose “Cut”.

Now, scroll until you see an object called “SoundService”. Right-click that object and choose “Paste Into”.

Step 3:

Now click the sound and go into the Properties window. It should be something like that:

If you want the music to never stop, enable the “Looped” property. Then, scroll a little bit and enable the “Playing” property.

IMPORTANT:

If you don’t enable the “Playing” property, the music will never start.

PRO TIP:
You can also change the values of the properties “PlaybackSpeed” and “Volume”. Also, it’s reccomended to enable the “PlayOnRemove” property, so the music won’t restart when a player is resetting his character.

Thanks for reading my post and have a nice day! Please, leave a like if this helped out!
