Adding new part to player changes AssemblyRootPart

I’m inserting a part to the Character. This is changing the AssemblyRootPart to this part, which is causing huge issues with the physics and controls of the player

Is the part set to Massless? This gives it very high priority as the root part. You can also try messing with the RootPriority
