Additional Scripting Resources Needed

I think this is a pretty good indication that the Developer Hub needs more resources for beginner Scripters.

From my perspective, this is indicative of one (or more) of the following:

  • Lack of scripting resources
  • Lack of indication for how to use or find those resources
  • Lack of direction for new developers (I just started! What do I do?)

I think the Educational team has been doing a great job with the Developer hub, but I also think that providing more guidance for new developers may help reduce repeat common questions from being posted. Resources such as tutorials, multi-part scripting series and more open source (vetted!) scripting samples would improve the new developer experience.

Hey!

You’ll be happy to hear that we’ve been working super hard recently to dramatically improving the onboarding experience on the DevHub. I don’t want to steal any wind out of the sails of the team that’s working on this, so keep a lookout for an announcement as we head into Spring!
