When animating characters, I often face a limitation where all body parts stop moving at the same time, which can make actions look robotic. For example, when un-equipping a gun, one arm should continue moving to put the gun away while the other arm naturally falls back to its default position.
Ideally, I’d like each arm to complete its motion at its own pace. I’m considering two approaches: creating separate animations for each arm or finding a more sophisticated method to adjust the weight or speed of specific body parts within a single animation. What’s the best approach for achieving this level of control?
