Ads Join Data & more

As a Roblox developer, it’s currently difficult to identify player acquision sources through custom analytics systems, and considering the platform scale we can’t get a lot of context fast & enough in Roblox dashboards. Understanding the vehavioral differences between users arrive via advertisements vs. users acquired through home recommendations is essential for optimizing our strategies.

It would also make much more sense to advertise while the game getting users from recommendations, because users acquired through ads will give us the “generic” behavior instead of the users which home recommendations hand picked, and similar with social media acquision.

An engine-level API indicating how a user entered the experience (including ad ID, if joined through ads) would be extremely valuable. This level of visibility would significantly improve analytical accuracy, growth strategies, and overall decision making for developers who actively track user behavior.
