The Ads Manager currently does not paginate results from the campaigns, ads and ad sets APIs. This means that rather than using a “page cursor” like other APIs, these APIs return EVERYTHING in one request. This starts to become an issue as the number of these items (ads, ad sets, campaigns) scales.
Problem
This has started to cause intermittent 504 timeout errors as the number of ads I have created has accumulated. As of now these are only a minor annoyance as they occur intermittently, however I fear that as the number of ads grows further that these could begin to occur every single time I navigate to the ads page, keeping me from accessing my previous ads altogether.
This has already permanently affected me since the middle of December. Relevant thread
I had multiple ad sets per campaign, which eventually led to my ad sets tab API calls returning an unsustainable amount of data. The ad set tab now permanently returns an error, “We could not fetch any data at this time. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contact operations for support.”
I am now unable to create new ad sets or look at current/previous ad sets. I found that I can continue creating campaigns with single ad sets instead of multiple, but this workaround will eventually cause the same issue.
I have been in contact with a staff member but they have since stopped updating me on any fixes. Incredibly frustrating. I really hope someone has more info on this and if Roblox is planning to solve this problem.
I’ve been recently facing the error “We could not fetch any data at this time. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contact operations for support.” This error is also described above by AznDibs.
I have hundreds of ad campaigns already. I need to be able to view the statistics of each campaign for proper A/B measurements.
Roblox, please add pagination to the ad manager list!
Currently, I don’t seem to get the error specified above. But every time I visit “Ads Manager”, it takes around 30 seconds - 1 minute to load in all the campaigs. While it does that, the webpage is completely frozen.
Ad Manager is an essential for the launch of any game, and bugs like these, really make it time consuming and irritating.
Thank you for your feedback! We are actively working on improvements to Ads Manager which includes pagination. Be on the lookout for an update soon. We appreciate your patience!
Since the first day this new System was rolled out, I’ve been running new Campaigns Daily so the amount of data that gets populated is substantial. So much so that I now am unable to create additional Ad Sets to existing Campaigns, since the Ads Sets fail to load in (assuming due to a Timeout). I’m given the same error message “We could not fetch any data at this time. Please try again later. If the problem persists please contact operations for support.” Essentially, I am limited to only 2 Ad Sets now per Campaign AND I can’t view my Ad Set Data at all. The only solution I have is to use a new account or wait until I get lucky on a page refresh.
Since Day 1 of this new Ads System being rolled out, it’s been inconsistent and unpredictably bad to say the least. This is amplified by the horrible communication relied back to the community from Staff pertaining to updates or potential fixes to some of the various issues that has plagued this system.
