Ads Manager (Classic + New) Not Running My Ads as Intendend

Over the past few days I’ve been trying to run ad campaigns for my new game I’ve developed. I’ve run ads with Ad Manager in the past (before the new Ad Manager was released) and hadn’t had any notable issues with it before.

I decided to give the new Ad Manager a try but it just did not give me the results I wanted (it spent the entire $10 USD in the span of less than 10 minutes, and automatically put it in at a bid of 0.032 USD which is much higher than I wanted to pay).

So, I switched back to classic which is what I’m more familiar with. Below is a screenshot of the ad attempts (apologies for lack of clear naming convention for my ad campaigns). Note all of these are 0.01 bid.

  • The first attempt was “Test2 Deception Infection”, which I ran for $20.00 lifetime budget from April 4, 2025, 10:40 PM PST to April 5, 2025, 10:40 PM PST. It ended up garnering some impressions, which is more than I can say for the later two attempts (although, I did actually end up pausing this ad campaign the following day when I noticed something was wrong, because at this point I expected to garner far more impressions)
  • The second attempt was “Visits - 04/05/2025”, running from April 5, 2025, 6:25 PM PST to April 6, 2025, 10:15 PM PST, with $40.00 lifetime budget. When I woke up this morning, I saw that nothing had happened so I paused the ad and tried to create a third campaign.
  • The final attempt was this morning, “PLEASE FINALLY WORK??..”, running from April 6, 2025, 9:49 AM PST to April 7, 2025, 9:49 AM PST, with $40.00 lifetime budget.

As seen in the screenshot, none of these ads garnered any clicks or plays due to the lack of Roblox pushing these ads out.

Expected behavior

I expect the ads to run properly. When I use the new Ads Manager, I don’t get a choice in how much I bid (it often bids much higher than I’d like). The new Ads manager also spends all of my daily budget within the course of 5-10 minutes instead of spreading it out, which is why I’ve opted to try and use Classic, which just doesn’t seem to work at all for me now.

@Shinyehh - thanks so much for taking the time to share all of this — really appreciate the detailed breakdown and the screenshots.

One thing to note is that the 0.01 bid in Classic Ads may not be high enough to consistently win auctions, which could explain why you saw very few impressions or clicks.

That’s actually one of the reasons we recommend trying the new Ads Manager again — it introduces fractional bidding, which means most creators are now seeing Cost Per Play lower than the Classic minimum bid. It gives the system a lot more flexibility to optimize on your behalf.

As for the spike in spend — totally fair to flag. Most campaigns do spend evenly throughout the day, but in rare cases where you’re seeing that kind of front-loaded pacing, a quick fix is to schedule your campaign to start at midnight, which helps smooth things out. We’re also rolling out continuous improvements this week to make pacing even more reliable for everyone without the need for workarounds.

Would you be open to giving the new Ads Manager another shot, scheduling the start time for midnight? If you do, we’d really love to hear how it goes — and if you have any other feedback or ideas, we’re all ears!
