Ads Manager does not take credits despite ads running, can run unlimited ads

Unlike before, the Ads Manager does not take credits despite ads running or being started.

Reproduction steps:

  • Purchase ad credits (note: if you buy 40, you can only keep running 40 per each time without it being deducted)
  • Run an ad
  • Watch it not remove the credits from you, you can simply keep making ads with those credits.

Causes an insane amount of confusion on how many ad credits you can still use from your balance. You can as well keep just making ads with the credits that stay in your balance.

Expected behavior

  • The ads manager should not let you make unlimited ads with your credits
  • The ads manager should take away your credits when making an advertisement

This is intended behavior. The Ads Manager was changed to only consume credits as ads run rather than deducting them and then refunding unused ones once your campaign ended. I’m assuming once your credits are completely out, all the ads you have in progress will stop running until you top up your credit again. If this is it’s behavior, this isn’t a bug.

Haven’t noticed this behavior yet atleast. Seems confusing, the amount of ad credits don’t deduct at all, despite one ad already ending. Not reducing the credits as it goes either right now, despite the campaign rolling - the ad credit amount remains the same. (I already mentioned this in the OG post, that it’s not reducing the credits at all.)
