The ads manager seems to be messing up by game analytics significantly. My play time fell by 25% after I ran a few campaigns with it.
The ads manager all of a sudden brings in like 50-60 people who don’t do anything in the game and leave in the first 1-2 minutes (big hit on retention and play time). They don’t even interact with any of the UIs in the game (their team doesn’t change), they just join and leave promptly after. It feels like a bunch of bots just joining the game and leaving without doing anything.
Not seeing how this is an issue with my game when most of the players who join don’t really click anything or even finish the team selection before leaving:
My game btw:
I’d also like to hear feedback if things in my game need to be more straightforward.
Having the same issue. The ads manager used up all my credits within the first hour of advertising resulting in the rest of the campaign receiving 0 traction. Whilst it’s great that it gets you players, those players usually don’t interact or leave after a few minutes.
This is a very common issue with ads. I think a large part of it is that you get a ton of exposure, but it’s in a more forced way, so it’s common for people who aren’t the target audience to be introduced to a game via ads.
I think it’s pretty unavoidable, but the best thing you can do is use the exposure and see if anything actually productive happens. Otherwise, I’m really not sure what I’d do, since the ads aren’t getting you valuable data or players . Good luck and let me know if you find anything.
