Hello! I’ve been making a game for the past few months. It has received good reception from friends, developers and testers. Like any other developer, I would definitely love to grow my game and get more players into it.
However, my current budget is something near 30K robux. I’d be really grateful if somebody with the appropriate experience and expertise could provide me some insight on how I can use my funds in the best way possible. It’d be really life-changing for me!
I’ll let the experts advise you on how to handle your 30K Robux with adverts/promotions.
My alternative suggestion is using TikTok.
You have no idea how powerful it can be especially for startup games like yours. Try uploading a few videos here and there highlighting features of your game, showing funny clips and moments in the game, follow trends to get recognition… People always seek for paid solutions to promote their products and overlook the free and (sometimes better) solutions.
One of the option other than the ads is to pay the youtuber to play your game, which could actually drive audience into your game
or release a UGC item that can be obtained only by playing your game
Thank you for that advice! I’ll surely be researching more into your methods!
Still hoping on someone to guide me on fund distribution
If you really want your game to be a big roblox hit, then you might wanna Increase your budget to around 150k-250k. You will need to test a variety of Icons to get yourself a good CTR, then do some bug fixing, find ways to efficiently monetize your game without compromising the quality of the game, make sure your retention is above 6% [Day 1 retention], and engage people to play with their friends, as It is an important factor too. If all the stats would be looking good, then I’d would launch a 15-day plan. 10-15k robux a day for 15 days, while also uploading videos about your game on social media, just like the other commenters said. This is kinda where everything happens, you see your game grow, find more bugs, fix more bugs, and so on. Keep in mind that everything I said is needed to be done in order to get picked up by the roblox algorithm, and get featured on the “Discovery” page.
Idk tho
Hi, those are some great pieces of advice! I’m really grateful to you for allat.
Pretty sure everybody’s main problem is funds! 150K-250K is only imaginable for me, even the 30K that I gathered from comms took me a very long time. I’m willing to give up the major percentage of my game for an investor percentage, however, I’m unable to find anyone…! So, I’ll definitely have to stick with the 30K…
Is the best method to just divide what you told me by 10 and proceed? You said 10-15k per day, is 1K-1.5K (a bit adjustment acc to the new ad system) fine?
You could try dividing everything I said, but you would have a slimmer chance of getting picked up by the algorithm, I recommend you finding investors in that case
I suggest reading from my reply to another post:
https://devforum.roblox.com/t/is-10k-20k-r-worth-of-sponsorships-enough-for-my-game/3036200/30?u=mupower
Tl;dr version:
- You won’t instantly make a profit; you will need your game to show up high on search results and/or get picked up by the algorithm to some extent
- 30k robux is good enough to succeed, but not enough to waste much on failed attempts
- Make sure your D1 retention, engagement, CTR are good; I can’t give you an exact benchmark since it depends on each game genre
- Run minimal ads to gather metrics for these stats and see what to improve
- Advertise to a US audience only (maximum monetisation per user)
- Advertise with max 0.01 bid only (minimise cost/expenditure per user)
Thank you for all that info g… God bless!
Hi Could you give me benchmarks for differen’t game genres I also have a game that I am looking to grow.
