I made a game a while back called OOF Explosions two years ago, and it was one of my more popular games
(yeah, yeah, i know, sad and you probably think it’s the equivalent of 3 visits to you)
My friend brought many people over to the game many times, and they seemed genuinely interested in the game. But, almost a little too much?
I just found out today that the friend that invited all these people over was in game called OOF EXPLOSIONS 2 MLG.
I hopped in the game and the owner was one of my friends’ friends. (sorry lol)
They said they played my game and I confronted them about the name and idea of the game. They said that the difference was that it was cooler and has HD Admin commands.
He permanently banned me from the game right after.
How do I go about this exactly? Can I get the game taken down for copyright or for another issue?
I don’t see this often to game developers, usually, my friends do it but as a joke.
I don’t think you can take it down for copyright, maybe he was inspired and wanted to make the game similar, but different scripts and design. I would confront the dude again and maybe talk to him about not taking the ideas of the game to make the same Revenue and general idea.
Note: I played both games, his is just free models and nothing seems nice, and it doesn’t get attention a lot, AND your game looks so much better, it has a lot of things for players to do and not just in a simple room.
True, but I’m not quite sure about how to get in contact with him.
It seems he only accepts friend requests from people he knows (and I don’t like friending people that i don’t know anyways)
and I think his account’s privacy settings have his messages turned off, and like I said in the post, he banned me from the game.
