After 2 years and a lot of drama and challenges, 30 minutes ago my first game went live

After playing Roblox with my kids for many years the dream of making a Roblox game grew and I started the work a few years ago. Long story short, after a lot of drama and challenges, 30 minutes ago the game went live.

It is only our family and the amazing team making the game that have been testing, so I am a bit nervous if people will like the game…

So all feedback will be very very welcomed if you guys have time.

Nice work, I haven’t played yet, but from what I can see from the thumbnails is good. There a few flaws though.

  1. :+1: NEXT BIG CODE AT 1000 LIKES! :+1:

Things like this are a bad practice, instead release codes every update. (if you want)

  1. Don’t change your title
The roblox algorithm is already hard enough, adding ‘new’ or ‘update’ to your game is just gonna push further down into the millions of games.

Game feels really nice, the UI is great!
I’d mainly suggest changing it to be more ‘lively’ as to add some more “minigames” & perhaps make it a bit more challenge like?

Also the two images when the ice cream stand selling minigame is over seems to be a bit pixelated so I’d suggest fixing that aswell.

Adding a debounce when clicking UI too fast would be nice too, as it’s a bit ‘springy’ when you press too fast.
You should probably also make other UI elements/gui invisible when opening another UI element/gui.
It also seems like you can stack some of the UI together?

Maybe adding some Idle emotes when NPC’s are standing still?
It also seems like you can interact with other people’s stands (not sure if this is intended)

Some of the NPC’s face’s also seem to overlap? and some NPC’s faces seem to be gone entirely.
When NPC’s are supposed to sit they seem to go through the floor and up again?

I would suggest using PathfindingService & Raycasting for your NPC movement. As they seem to get stuck walking into assets around the map.

Those are some of the things I would fix/change although game looks really neat!

The game for sure feels refreshing to me from what I’ve seen on Roblox lately. Unique concept. Though I got just a few helpful suggestions:

  • You might want to optimize it a bit more for mobile, joined through phone and began lagging a little.

  • Add more ambience to the lobby like how you did in the actual game locations. Perhaps you can put some playful music when you spawn in the meantime.

  • Add a bit more instructions for new players. It wasn’t unnecessarily confusing to get the hang of what to do but to make the flow of the gameplay run smoother, I’d recommend putting arrows in the lobby.

Besides these, I can honestly see your game blowing up with proper advertising!! I can tell you put lots of love into it, I dropped a like

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys!

It has been really helpful and we are already working on small changes based on your feedback.

We will either make arrows in the airport lobby or totally skip it and make all players start directly in the game in Avignon @EchoWinds

We also started to work on making the strategic element of placing the friend and not least moving the friend more clear @As8D

Advertising on Roblox is a big unknown for us. We know a bit about social media advertising but assume advertising on the Roblox platform is by far the best idea.

To buy Robux to advertise for is a bit expensive and we only have 20.000-30.000 Robux we have saved up from the premium membership.

So any advice or help on advertising would be really really appreciated @EchoWinds and others - we have spend a lot of time and money on the game and have a budget for marketing as well, just not unlimited so we have to spend it wisely.
