Notes:
This bug applies to all pages with the “Log In” button at the top right of the browser screen:
Example URLs:
- https://www.roblox.com/create
When I state “Log In Box”, I am referring to the following GUI:
Description
On pages with the “Log In” button at the top right of the screen, the Log In Box does not maintain the proper position at the top of the screen. If the user scrolls down before clicking the “Log In” button, the Log In Box will appear lower on the user’s screen (or potentially off the screen).
- Date First Noticed: April 19, 2021
- Reproducibility: 100%. Consistently able to reproduce.
Reproduction Steps
- Visit one of the previously mentioned URLs
- Scroll down
- Click the “Log In” button at the top right of the screen
Note:
- Once the Log In Box is open, it maintains whatever position it opened at on the screen. If it opened at the top of the screen, that position will be maintained. If it opened at the bottom (or off the bottom) of the screen, that position will be maintained.
Actual Behavior:
If the user has NOT scrolled down before clicking the “Log In” button, the Log In Box will correctly appear just below the “Log In” button at the top of the screen:
If the user scrolls down slightly before clicking the “Log In” button, the Log In Box will appear farther down the page:
If the user scrolls down far enough before clicking the “Log In” button, the Log In Box will start to open off the screen:
The Log In Box will not be visible on the screen at all if the user scrolls far enough down before clicking the “Log In” button to log in.
Expected Behavior:
I would expect the Log In Box to always appear just below the “Log In” button regardless of how far the page has been scrolled.
Workaround:
Scroll to the top of the page before clicking the “Log In” button.
