not everyone is comfortable with posting their face to some server which has an 99% chance of being leaked
thank god im going to uni next year which means ill FINALLY learn another language that is not luau and get out of roblox lol
i don’t believe anyone asked for restricted community access because we don’t trust a private entity with our biometrics and IDs. ![]()
Why…? The only ones that should be passing that PolicyService check would be people that should be allowed to see said external links. I hope that this API will instead always return false instead of moderating games that no longer update.
Well, apparently there has been an update where it gets deleted right away (at least for AI age verification, ID verification is still held for 90 days I think.)
Chances are you’ll write C, C++, and Java there. I also recommend Rust and Python.
im hoping for them crazy russian hackers to be crazy and russian and to hack a bypass method for all of this ![]()
you people don’t like anything.
what do you suggest as an alternative to this? you cannot claim you care about children’s safety then deride a measure to prevent children from being groomed online
edit: i’ve made more clear my position here:
On the surface for investors this looks like good work from Roblox!
On the end of developers who have used this platform for years or more this is a horribly executed set of changes.
I completely understand where this is coming from. These changes were more than likely implemented as a blanket response to the several cases of reported grooming of minor individuals on the website, but this should’ve been thought WAY better than this is planned to be executed.
As a developer on this platform who has been on this platform since I was 7 (not on this account), and has witnessed several attempts of grooming minors on this platform whether it be relatively unknown people performing the actions or people that are considered “top” developers to some, these changes are horribly rushed from all perspectives.
It baffles me how few people possibly disagreed with these changes on their respective team. SURELY there could have been more thought put in, SURELY you could have gauged anyone, such as top developers, content creators, or anyone else with a presence such as the very people calling out predatory behavior on Roblox such as Schlep to help you with this issue. But this post is very clear evidence that there was little care put into these changes and it’s sad.
Do better, Roblox.
Roblox is also using Persona, which also lends more credibility. However, I don’t think that makes people want to do it.
better moderation. JUST THAT LOL
more mods, not outsourced from india
Ladies and gentlemen, the time has finally come. We can no longer communicate with people on this platform. This meme I previously created is officially real now.
On a serious note, I think it’s about time we all just boycott Roblox and move over to other game engines. This has got to be the worst decision that has ever been made by this multi billion dollar company.
keyword: NOT outsourced from india
Robux will now cost $50/1k to pay moderator salaries.
It would be really funny to make a browser extension that simply adds a “Social Credit” thing and you can upvote and downvote people.
TEAM CREATE TOO? SCREW U ROBLOX
There is a reason if roblox chooses to use age verification using AI (which is still estimating ages incorrectly) and roblox doesn’t actually improve moderation, therefore revoking chat access everywhere across the platform (which is used by almost every roblox user), from more than 50% of users.
If roblox REALLY wanted to keep their users safe, they would have better moderation overall instead of deliberately forcing everyone to give away their IDs to a company supporting pedos. For all we know, all the IDs could just suddenly get leaked, like what happened to England.
Discord is somewhat understandable, but couldn’t YouTube links stay at least?
how about nah
they can delete all my social credit for being a rebel who cares about his identity, im not falling for it
