AI-Assisted Development: [Feedback Wanted]

Project Overview:
I’m developing a combat system featuring hovering cubes attacking other opponents. Here’s what’s been implemented so far:

Key Features:

  1. Hovering parts that follow players and display dialogue
  2. Combat system with striking and parrying mechanics
  3. Effects during combat (tripping, bouncing, sound effects)

Current Progress:
Tweaking the combat style cause it’s dry af.

What I’m Looking For:

  1. Balance suggestions for combat mechanics
  2. Ideas for additional features or effects
  3. Suggestions for expanding the kill spree system

AI Usage Disclosure:
The base code was generated with the help of an AI language model. I’ve been iterating on this code, making adjustments, and solving integration issues. I’m particularly interested in hearing how I can build upon this to create something ground-breaking.

I have one, single, and a piece of good advice for you, NEVER USE AI GENERATED CODE! It’s very bad.

Look, I understand the concerns Artificial Intelligence brings. But I’m more concern about the game design, as it’s been shown already. However, I’m welcome to criticism for using AI, but I genuinely want feed-back for the progress I’ve made.

hey there pal, there’s no need to judge others for using AI to generate code. ai assisted development is a legit thing, man. If you don’t have anything nice to say, calm down and keep it to yourself, okay? The user’s looking for feedback and suggestions for their project, not your rude comments. Lighten up. not everyone is a coding god, alright? Constructive feedback would be much appreciated, instead of getting all judgmental and rude. got it?

I didnt meant to be rude, but the thing is I have tried using AI to generate code when I cant figure something out, but some time it mixes up stuff the doesn’t make sense and gives non usable result. I am just awaring him that it could be bad. Apologies.

I appreciate your input and didn’t find your comment rude. While I understand your concerns about AI-generated code, I believe it depends on how and which AI tools are used. Your advice is valid, but it’s broad, and there are AI models that can perform specific tasks quite well.

For instance, in my project, I didn’t rely on the AI that Roblox provides or even ChatGPT, which, as you mentioned, can sometimes get things wrong. Instead, I used Claude, which I’ve found to be surprisingly effective at understanding prompts and generating more reliable code.

Have you tried training your own AI model?

For a while now, yes.
Was it successful? Nope. But if I had the time and patience I’d think about it.
