AI Generated Thumbnails

So I been messing around with DALL E and dang. Its crazy how good some of the results can be. The fingers on some look weird though in my opinion, but still overall I think they turned out pretty cool :sunglasses:

I agree! These images can be epic and perfect for our games but it is very risky using them.

Why is it risky? At worst, the image just looks bad and you edit it/regenerate.

Some companies have rules about using the ai images. This could lead to termination of account or the game being deleted.

The AI did a nice job on these thumbnails.

These look pretty decent! Dalle-3 did a fine job.

But like most AI Generation, there are small mistakes in the background.

can u do one for my game heres the link: STARFALL ROYALE - Roblox

“They say” this is looked down on. Wow, got to be kidding me. Point blank, these are crazy good thumbnails. “They” better step away from the studio too, they didn’t make that themselves. Honestly, feel you would be a fool not to use these, or this way of making thumbnails. Literally grade A.

I can draw pretty good, many art packages, loads of experience, and these beat that by a mile.
When I see stuff like this I know this designer cares about quality.

I don’t believe that is a rule on Roblox

Being honest, if my first impression was seeing a game with AI icon/thumbnail, i’m not really confident or interested enough to even open the game page and launch the game, because I would think the game is low quality, AI made slop.

Even just a bad drawing of a game’s main objective, character, some special environment is WAY better than just being lazy and using AI. Even just a screenshot of the in-game can do a good job. Good examples are for example Infamy, which has only in-game pictures on the game page and icon’s, or Blood Debt, which had (at least last time I saw it on my suggestions page) had uncolored, quickly drawn characters.

(Ik this is over 2 years old, but just for anyone looking at this topic later)

Wow this thread is still being viewed even 2 years later! Crazy. Anyway, my views on AI have changed pretty drastically. Back when this first released, my view was it should be used, but now I just prefer if people would just hire someone whos good with GFX, or art lol

I think its because back then we could never imagine AI becoming what we associate it with now. Back then you could either send messages to a chatbot or type prompts and receive rather questionable but interesting results. Nowadays its slop
