Align blocks to cylinders

Are there any plugins that allow me to align these? It would improve my life significantly

Kind of confused due to the post’s vagueness, are you talking about the rotation tool…?

No, dragging it to align. You know how you can drag parts to align them? Well, it goes on the hitbox of the cylinder instead of actually aligning to the edge.

What I mean: Simulator Map - Roblox Studio (gyazo.com)

I’m assuming you’re using a mesh or a union then. (Nevermind it’s a cylinder but same concept lol) As a builder myself I experience this a lot, what I do to solve the issue though is to rotate the part to align with the edge & drag the part onto it.

Someone else might have a better answer though

I know, I have to do that too, or use archimedes. It’s just annoying that they wouldn’t just allow us to align

It’s the way it is unfortunately, builders have had to deal with this for years and it’s just one of the things you need to do

Hopefully Roblox can improve this in the future though

Hopefully, it’s a thing that should of been implemented YEARS ago.

There is a plugin called “Building Tools by F3X”. You can use it to change the rotation angle and it might align how you want to align it. And also, I suggest moving with the arrows . It will be more aligned that way

Plugin : Building Tools by F3X (Plugin) - Roblox

Click and drag it against the wall, I do that everytime, If I want an exact rotation that is, also use the f3x plugin cause roblox did somethin to their rotation system.

ok so if this is a union or a mesh you need to set collision fidelity to precise then drag the part onto it. if it doesn’t drag properly then right click the part and turn on align objects. dont right click in the properties tab, right click on the screen
