Alignment++ (Part/Model Aligner w/ Resize) [FREE]

Hello! Years ago I made Alignment+, which allows you to align parts and models (as well as resize parts). And now, some years later I remade the plugin with better UX and more features. If you already happen to have the plugin, all you need to do is update it. However if you don’t have the plugin:

You can get the plugin here
You can also view or contribute to the code here

The main bulk of the features:

Aligning

You are able to align parts and models. You have a few options: align to a singular axis, to multiple axes, or you can pick it in the viewport (the latter method is shown in the video)

Attaching

You also able to “attach” parts. Which basically just aligns in all axes at once.

Resizing

You can also resize parts. Right now, you can only resize the target’s part face, but I am currently working on allowing you to resize from the target part’s edge or corner. Note: resizing respects attachments, and will offset attachments as expected (unlike the old version; I’m very sorry about that by the way).

Setting

This is one of the new options, it allows you to take a part or model and set either its position, orientation, or size (part only) to another selected part’s.
Video Example

Place Between

This is also a new option. It allows you to place a part or model between two selected part’s faces/edges/corners.

Other Videos

These videos just show you other random things to get an idea of the plugin. The one below shows the high contrast mode in the plugin.
Video Example

This video just shows that you are able to collapse categories, and also that categories will dim depending on what mode is selected. It also shows that there are tooltips for each setting in the event you need some guidance.

General Tidbits (Recommend Reading for QoL)

For all of the modes, besides resize, you are able to align only the part, the part’s direct model, the part’s rootmost model, or you can select a model in the explorer to align (this functionality was shown in the “Aligning” section). If a model is being aligned, the model’s PrimaryPart will temporarily set to the target part, and then back to its original.

You can press “Escape” to clear the current selection.

And of course undoing and redoing is supported.

The plugin also will change with your theme (however, I can’t guarantee it’ll look amazing with every theme unfortunately).

Polls

Here are some polls. I use these to help gauge how useful and well made the plugin is. On the polls, 1 is the worst and 5 is the best, for example, in the visual appeal poll 1 would be ugly and 5 would be beautiful.

If you rate poorly on the functionality or visual appeal polls please let me know why, I’d love to address the issues, :).
