All Servers Default to USA

Recently, Roblox no longer assigns players to European game servers. No matter what game or experience is joined, the server region is always located in the United States. This causes extremely high ping for players located in Europe and makes ping-sensitive games difficult or impossible to play smoothly.

This issue did not exist before previously, European players could consistently join EU servers. Now, all servers are hosted in American regions with no option to get European ones (even if a European player joins first, countless attempts and none worked apart from 1-2 times)

Expected behavior:
European players should be assigned to EU-based servers (as before) to ensure low latency and fair gameplay.

Actual behavior:
All server instances appear to be hosted in the United States, causing lag, delays, and unplayable experiences for EU users.

I completely agree. This issue is really urgent and needs to be fixed as soon as possible. European players should not be forced to play on US servers with extremely high ping. It makes many games unplayable and ruins the experience. Roblox needs to restore proper region assignment so EU players can join EU servers again.

At least now I have no issues with “No server responce” error. Had that a lot until this “bug” occured.

Hi there, thanks for the post and the discussion. I’m understanding that there are connection issues to EU servers. Some questions for clarification:

  1. Around when did you start noticing this?
  2. What region are you trying to join from?
  3. Could you share some playerIds that have recently encountered this issue?

I started noticing this issue around 1-2 weeks ago since the post has been made. Before that, EU servers were consistently available. Since then, every server instance has been US-based.
2. Region I’m joining from:
I’m joining from Europe (Germany).
3. It doesnt really matter who joins, it just needs to be someone who is not in america. The EU and asian region get this issue. If you still need UserIds, then you can take the IDs from people who have answered this thread (or people who liked it), we all are experiencing the same issue.

Please pay attention to the post I’ve linked in a reply above for extra details on the issue.
It likely does not affect any U.S. players, as all the servers end up being in U.S. at the moment, only in rare cases you can start a EU server. There are no particular players who are able to consistently start EU servers either (even if they live in Europe and don’t use any VPN/Proxy).
Same thing happens even right now as I am writing this post.

I can 100% confirm this too, I’m based in the UK and it’s forcing me to connect to servers in New York, this is extremely bad since my game used a custom server authority character controller solution and high ping never really mixes well :grimacing:

I am planning to release soon and I really want this fixed asap

AFAIK this only happens 70% of the time - sometimes I’m able to connect to a UK/EU server

Im getting 100+ Ms ping on NY servers and usually 30-50ms when I’m in EU/UK - difference is noticeable

I sent the info you asked a few days ago, any update on the EU server issue?

I’m experiencing this as well. I’m in Europe, but Roblox keeps placing me into US servers, which results in very high ping.

I’m in America, but for some reason, I experience high ping even with good internet and connecting to a U.S. server.

Ok good to know it’s not just me. My ping suddenly went from an average of 30 to 150. Still happening after a week by the way…
