Im thinking more like google docs sharing thing . Where there will be an option to share editing access with a group of people you choose . This would really help me with my situation bc my community manager manages the release notes but sometimes he gets busy and can’t edit the thread
Then why not simply make a new post?
Because it’s better organized into one post
The software this forum uses, called Discourse, does not allow for multiple users to edit one thread. In general forums usually do not allow for collaboration on threads. If you feel strongly about this and really want it to be a feature you can suggest it on meta.discourse.org to see if the developers of Discourse to make it a feature.
Discourse has a concept of “wiki posts” where any user can edit it:
But not for a specific group of users. Should file as feature request on the meta or support an existing feature request there.
The problem with the “post wiki” solution, though, is that by default only TL3 and above can use it, and I believe TL3 is disabled here on DevForum, with full member being TL2. That means DevRelations and LTCs are the only ones able to designate posts as a post wiki.
