In studio, if you have 1 object selected and press CTRL+G, a model is not created and the selected object is not parented into a model. This is annoying: I pressed CTRL+G for a reason.
I thought you could do this.
I guess you can just create a random brick and then group the object you want with it, then delete the random brick. Though that’s an unnecessary, useless hassle.
Yes please, this is especially useful when make tools and stuff like that where you only need one part/union but you are going to add some variables and scripts to the model once you have it.
Definitely would not mind a feature like this. I assumed this was something that should have already been added by default. I find myself grouping one part regularly.
In 2009-2010 I used to insert a part, make it anchored and invisible, name it ZZZ, and place it at 0,-50,0 if I wanted to group one object.
even though there is a way, by inserting an empty model in the workspace, and dragging the item into it, it’s just straight up annoying to do that every time.
Particularly if you have a lot of parts and models in the Explorer window.
