Currently, sets do not allow private models to be added to them, and when a model that’s already added is made private, it removes it from the set. This leaves us with two options when it comes to sorting models:
Make models public
Don’t publish them online
Models being public isn’t ideal for the usual reasons, such as theft, and not publishing the models online carries its own risk, as well as making them far less convenient to insert. I propose that sets be changed to allow private models to be in them.
I might be missing something, but weren’t sets created to make it easier to share models with other users? How come you would want something unavailable to people to be displayed in a set?
Personal organization. So if you are making a western map, for example, and you want all the western assets organized, you can throw them into one set.
As Paul said, it’s a matter of personal organization. I have several hundred models, and if I want to get to one from even just 6 months ago I have to scroll a fairly large distance. Would be much more convenient to allow private models to be stored in them.
Yeah and I’m also thinking of maybe when you click “Publish selection to roblox” Your sets are the first options and can be opened like folder objects in studio.
