Which application?: Client
Did this feature exist before?:
Yes. You were able to create the following FFLags:
Before you could create a Folder named “ClientSettings” with a file named “ClientAppSettings.json”, which you placed in the folder named “version-9a6f7467af154650” where “RobloxPlayerBeta.exe” and etc. is located at.
The “ClientAppSettings.json” file contained:
{ "FFlagClientEnableHiDpi2": false, "FFlagPassDataModelDPIScale": false, "DFFlagDebugOverrideDPIScale": false, "DFFlagDisableDPIScale": false, "DFFlagVariableDPIScale2": false }
Description:
Hello, I am currently on Windows 10 64 bit. I am on a laptop which’s monitor size isn’t the usual one like those laptops that support 1920x1080. It is a bit smaller and goes 1920x1080.
However, the taskbar was too small when the Windows DPI settings were on 100%, so I increased the percentage so that it is bigger.
Recently on Roblox I am facing an issue because of this. The UI is getting scaled as well, and I can’t disable it with the features Windows offers.
Suggestion:
I am requesting a feature that can allow users to disable the automatic DPI scale, or instead directly just set a manual DPI Scale, where 1
would be default and 100%.
The automatic DPI scaling can be an issue, especially when I want to test the UI on Client instead of Roblox Studio. I want to test it at its true size and also visit other games with the normal UI and not the DPI scaled one.
There are also other users I’ve seen on the forums that were looking for a way to disable it. Maybe, they’re facing the same issues I am doing.
Would love to see a feature that allows me to disable the automatic DPI scaling. Thank you.
