Alternatives to Cafes

Hello, DevForum!

I believe it is a couple months later from my last cafe post. Straight to the point…I’ve been brainstorming for a long time now of alternatives to cafes that could possible blow up. Example:

Instead of a cafe people have made:

Support centres (Serendipity)
Trampoline parks (Bounce Zone)
Salons (Boho)
Leisure Centres (Hampton)

I think you get the idea. In my head, these ideas are so incredibly innovative and I just can’t think of any ideas like this.

Thanks for any help and feedback!

You should consider simulators too. Not the clicking ones, but the simulators which simulate real life experience. They are in soo much demand right now.

Do you mean stuff like gyms, arcades, clubs, event camps, community halls, agency, scout tents etc? If you are looking for an alternative that would BLOW up, you also need to know that games that do get popular are usually addictive and fun to play. There was a game which revolved around a themepark with interactive rides and stuff. It was such an innovative game.

Yes, this is what I mean. Roleplay games where people can work etc… Those ideas you gave me are great and I am definitely thinking about using them!

I’m guessing you mean group-based games, with ranking etc.
There’s many options for this, I mean you can just look at businesses in the real world for ideas, regardless here’s a few I have came up with.

Themepark/fairground
Beach
Shopping?
Clothing
Restaurants
Gym
Arcade is a good one, haven’t seen any of those where you can work at one.
Lodges
Activity camp?
Gameshow?
School
Dance club

I would try go for something unique that you can see people playing for a long time, as well as working at. Hotels are popular but they just get, boring.

My recommendation would be try and find whatever’s popular right now and try to turn it into a cafe game. You can do this by going to the Popular section of the Games and searching the ones that have the most players in it, and take similar themes or elements of that game and turn it into a cafe. Take for example anime games (which are really popular), you can try to turn your cafe into an anime themed type one by referencing various different types of anime, having minigames based off each anime, etc. Or if that isn’t you cup of tea, you can also do Friday Night Funkin type games (which are also really popular), you can do try to turn your cafe into some sort of musical shack with various musical themes to it such as jazz, hip-hop, rock etc. You can also have minigames too where player 1v1 each other, Friday Night Funkin style. However, this is just a recommendation.
