Is there an alternative to hingeconstraint, that actually keeps parts in the right positions like a weldconstraint, but still allows part orientation to change freely?
Yes, I use WeldConstraint to create doors’ hinges too.
Set your HingeConstraint.ActuatorType to Servo and it’ll stay at whatever TargetAngle you set it to, unless you have really ‘heavy’ Parts, but you can change large Parts to Massless to counteract this.
Motor6Ds also are more solid as they are a welded rotational joint.
Ok, i think i will try motor6Ds then.
Just a hint; set the Part(s) that the Motor6D rotate to Massless, otherwise you may get some weird operations.
