Hola dev forum! I have a question for all of you today! In my new educational game, I was thinking the best way to keep the users motivated and interested is to have ROBUX involved. Now I know there are like 100 rules about giving ROBUX to people, so that’s why I’m here asking this! It would be like 1000 coins = 20 ROBUX or something like that. Would this be allowed? If not, how else could I do this without getting in trouble?
If your game gets thousands of players, are you going to give them robux manually each time? What if there’s an exploiter who gets himself 1000 coins and cashes it for 20 robux every time?
That’s why once I finish the game and maybe get investors im going to hire a exploiter preventer scripter person-thingy to make sure it’s preventable the best way they can.
Investors. I would also be getting revenue due to many game passes that I’m 99.99% sure will be popular.
To be honest, the rules about giving away Robux are honestly very interesting.
From what I know and have heard, the rule was made to prevent scammers that do “Robux Giveaways.” But what I’m concerned about is exactly why there is an option to pay-out group members for group owners.
But in this case, I don’t think what you are trying to do would be against the rules, but I’m more concerned as to how you would achieve that?
While it appears you’re trying to execute this with good intent, I can’t think of a way that this wont cause a problem with the amount of players your expecting to use it. It’s also within the grey area of the ToS, which might not make it sit well with Roblox if it were to become popular.
The best way to go about something like this (in my opinion) would be to hold a competition within your game (fastest to reach level X, example) and reward players based on that rather than a system that continues to produce expenses as long as its active.
In my honest opinion, an investor invests because there’s a possible return on their investment. This is just giving away Robux without profiting. This could also be seen as bribing people to play your game, a game should bring people in for it’s content. If you have to give people robux to have them keep playing your game, you need to go back to the drawing board. The other questions are with this, are you trying to make a profit? And what are you trying to educate them on? It may be a bit hard to make profit off an educational game if it’s specific to a certain topic. I wish you luck with this but giving away robux isn’t a solution.
It is totally forbidden, as several users report the simple fact that you are offering ROBUX, even if you have not given away a ROBUX, that is enough for a moderator to come and erase your game and ban you for a few days.
Ok not all, but anyways you mentioned getting investors. Even if you don’t use Investors, your idea is not very good and even if it were, your game would be banned.
You don’t have to worry about it, as long as you aren’t usd buying, gambling, betting or lottery, or illegal stuff.
