Hello, I have done a little digging on this question and seem a bit confused. Would this be only allowed if you check PolicyService? Or am I only allowed to use social Website links under a Games description?
Are there also different rules depending on the Website?
You can link YouTube channels and Discord channels via the “Social Links” area in the experience configuration page.
You cannot put social links in descriptions, you have to put it via the roblox social links feature.
You are permitted to show Discord links and such in-game, provided that you use PolicyService.
A quick look at the community standards
They specifically state “or listed in the Social Networks and Social Links settings of your profile or experience description page”
The issue is that it is likely censored and if it censored then do not try to bypass it because you can get your game moderated for directing users off platform and should always use social links if you try to put them in your games description
For ingame, it should be fine aslong you use PolicyService properly and only the right people can see it. For example, people under 13 cannot see your content at all
You can check if the user is allowed to see it via the API
Ok! So if I use the PolicyService correctly, I am allowed to put links in my game. One thing I forgot to add is, if links to a specific yt video are allowed?
