Hey guys,
I’m building a game for a client and they want to put this text in the game:
“Cheers! Take a screenshot and share it with your friends on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! Tag @username (FB), @username (TW), and @username (IG) for a chance to win!”
I know that Twitter and Facebook are fine, but i couldn’t find anything on Instagram.
I even contacted Roblox support but, as always, they can’t do their job.
Any experiences with this, thoughts?
When using Roblox, you may not link to any external websites or services, except for : YouTube, Facebook, Discord, Twitter, and Twitch. Links to any of those approved sites must be wrapped in the applicable Policy API or listed in the Social Networks and Social Links settings of your profile or experience description page. That’s a no to Instagram. I do not encourage accepting any potential advice that may imply that it’s fine because other experiences do it or “they might not check” either.
PolicyService does not mention Instagram so it’s technically not allowed.
I doubt they would care if you check if facebook is allowed.
But I wouldn’t risk a ban for a bit of free promotion, I also don’t think that’s effective. Just remove instagram from the message, most people will have one of the other social media platforms.
