Am I allowed to recreate the Steam Community Market and allow players to purchase items via robux?

Hello there!

I’m planning on recreating the Steam Community Market for players to purchase weapons and cosmetics, though is it allowed for players to purchase such things via robux? I’d assume it’s allowed since a game called Starving Artists exists where you can sell paintings for robux.

So, am I allowed to create my own Steam Community Market for robux or am I only allowed to use in-game currency to abide the ToS?

Remaking Steam is not allowed since they have copyright on all Steam assets.

Not really since Steam has copyrighted pretty much their logo, name, and everything else. I would avoid doing that if I were you to prevent a possible DMCA.

That’s not what I necessarily mean. Besides, I am allowed to make a parody of steam, correct? My main concern is if I am allowed to have players to sell their items for robux.

I am not sure if you’re necessarily allowed to make a parody. Since, again, they copyrighted their logo and name. So, I would probably suggest something like “Ream” if you want to make a parody of Steam.

Yeah, but you didn’t get my main concern. Can I allow players to set their items via robux?

I’m not sure if you’re allowed to do that. I would read the ToS if I were you to be sure. But so far, I am not sure.
