Am I being hacked? (Recently Used Devices inaccurate)

image
I’m unsure who used those devices, because I’ve only used roblox forum on my laptop. This may be a bug, or someones in my account. Is there a way I can check if people go on my roblox.com account? I’m extremely concerned about this. Please help. Thanks for reading!

First of all, change your password and proably enable 2 step verification. Than log those devices out and see if it happens again.

How do I do that???

I’m pretty sure your fourms account login is linked to your normal Roblox account (and if not there will be an option somewhere in the settings), so you got to change your password in account settings (this will send a prompt to your email that you need to confirm) than you can choose a new password. To enable 2 step you will see an option in the normal Roblox settings under the security tab.

Go to your roblox account then settings, Click on security and Enable account restrictions.

that gives me safe chat…

I mean, enable your 2 Step Verification. You see that, Right?

you mean 2 step verification, account restrictions is safechat.

Edit: nevermind, you already adressed that, my apologies.

After that, do the “sign out of all other sessions” then observe if that device shows up again.

Please use the search feature. This is a discourse bug where it doesn’t show your correct login location.

@wravager I’ve only used one device on the forums, does it make up devices and locations?

If you’re 100% certain you’ve only ever logged in on one computer - never a family computer, never at an internet café etc - and you don’t even own an android phone, then I’d change password and enable TFA.

If there’s a chance you have used more than just once device to access it, and you think this may be yourself then just log out of all sessions (button below and to the right of the devices list).

Note that deleting cookies or app data will probably cause the same device to register again. So if you’ve done that since August 3rd that could explain the two windows PCs.

It’s a bug it happened to me and i’m 100% sure no one got into my account

It’s likely just showing the location of the discourse server.

This is not a secure way to create a password. Dictionary and brute force attacks handle these kind of basic defences. Long passwords are better than short complex ones.

For OP:
Don’t enable account restrictions, that does not help. There is a log out all button below your login sessions. Roblox has a dedicated guide for being hacked on Roblox.

But based on what I can see, just appears to be a Discource issue. If it really worries you, clean out your sessions, change password, add parent pin and 2FA and log back in again.

We’ve already had some topics on this in Forum Feedback on the Recently Used Devices widget – make sure to do a search before posting.

The general consensus at the moment is that the window is sometimes wrong, most likely due to the SSO provisioning Roblox uses. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you’re actually seeing weird activity from your account(s).

Of course, it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye on this and maybe rotate passwords every so often, that’s probably something you should be doing anyway.
