I’m encountering a discrepancy with a union part (hexagon) in my game. According to the part I’ve placed across it, it’s not measuring up to the 32x32 dimensions it’s supposed to be. I’ve double-checked my placement, but the issue persists.
Is there something I’m overlooking, or could this be a bug? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.
This isn’t exactly based on part size per say. It’s more based off of the union’s size as a whole. Because of this, the size data might not be what a dev expects, but fear not, as this is completely normal. I experience this with almost every union/mesh I use as well. I hope this explanation makes sense.
Its very likely the selection box is not square like you think, Its most definitely like this;
This would result in the stud size being different than what you see
As @Aerophagia said, look at the resize drag handles that define the Union. They are diagonally placed instead of the way you see them on the baseplate.
Grab the Union and move it around on the baseplate, it’ll reorient itself and you’ll see the 32x32 size.
