Ambiental depth buffer not rendering correctly

Currently, there is a big rendering problem going on,

most likely caused by a depth buffer issue exclusively or combined with an additional one regarding ambient occlusion.

I have encountered this unreported rendering bug, located deep within the engine, when joining any place.

The issue manifests as static artifacts appear when moving, especially when rotating the camera. These artifacts are subtle and not even recognized by recording software like OBS, but you can clearly see them in person.

Altough I haven’t frequently played games in the past few months, I have consistently noticed this glitch whenever I did. My drivers are fully up to date and function correctly in other programs, including Roblox Studio’s playtesting mode. However, the issue only appears when launching the Roblox Player.

Given the observations, I believe this is an engine-related issue affecting specific devices, likely tied to the computer platform.

This first impression of the attached video seems rather innocent, but the glitch artifacts become evident towards the end of it.

Expected behavior

Artifacts like this shouldn’t appear, because altough recording software barely recognizes them, they are highly noticeable to the user and significally ruin their experience. I expect the final result to match its original, as it still does on correctly rendered devices.

Personally, these artifacts break the connection between the actual output and the perceived result, which is the most crucial factor when engaging with the experience as a user. For this reason, I consider this bug report a high priority.
