Amount of time taken to beat a game is too high

Ok, so me and my friend are creating a game where you have to survive 100 days. As of now we have 75 seconds for a day and 60 for night. The problem is that when you do the math it would take 3.75 hours to beat the game. I am thinking of a way to counteract this, right now we are thinking of either skipping days or saving the progress. Any ideas would be great

100 days, is this game like hunger games or what

if this game has some story-line single player or co-op then there is no reason to rush, just make it a decent amount of time, like, (IRL alot of people would stay in the game if the survival gameplay is quite nice and interesting)

Else if this game is like a round based game for a short gameplay then

this will be really hard, only a few players will stay playing for that long (3 hours is alot for players that got no time to survive the whole 100 days)

my first argument is, if this is a story-like game with survival feature then make it save each day that elapses, done, the player can just leave anytime and return ( if he is not dead of course)

Skipping days?
You can skip days like minecraft does. Every Player has to sleep in order to skip the night. Or An act such as going in a car for a trip skips days too. (Use a black screen to cover everything thats happening in the game while skipping)
100 days for what?
Why is it specifically hundred days, for a rescuer to find you? You can decrease it if you want by around 70 - 80.
Would players still stay to beat the game?
It depends on their personal choice, PC players are more likely to stay since they have a more mature audience unlike Tablet or Mobile Players. (More patience indeed)
Increasing day and night amount but decreaing days that would need to complete the game
For example, making it 5 mins for a day and 5 mins for a night but to beat the game takes atleast 3 or 5 days.
Letting the player come back and leave everytime so they dont have to complete the game in 1 go
You’re going to need to use data store for this and values that would say what part of day, what items they have, what buildings they have too.
