I made this creature to improve on my skills and sculpting.
I went with a gross look on the face to make the model a bit more alien-themed
The model is high poly and cannot be used in roblox (I made it for renders and improving my skills)
When i think of aliens, i think of strange idiots with slimey faces and rubbery bodies. I wanted to make something like that, so i sculpted the face weirdly with really small eyes to make it look gross. Anyways, thanks for the feedback!
I recall seeing this on YouTube once, the Speedsculpt by HOKIROYA.
You did a fantastic job shaping out the model! All the parts are easily distinguished from each other and I can tell you’ve done a bit of muscle work too!
I do happen to notice that the toes might not be connected to the sculpt but I found a add-on inside of blender called the bool tool that attaches them into the object so they work better in rigging and skinned meshes. Another helpful tool for when you decide to start using your sculpts in ROBLOX is the decimate modifier, and shade-smoothing to hide the sharper edges of lower poly models.
I am primarily a mob modeler and we are sorta a dying breed, it was nice to find another person modeling a mob. Let me know if you’d like any more tips for the future
Yeah! I yoinked the reference image from HOKIRIYA’s speesculpt to make an alien mob. I added a little originality by adding some spikes on the tail and making the face slimey and gross. I found out a trick with which i sculpted the muscles easily without any trouble.
Yes, the toes are not a part of the model itself, they are a seperate mesh which I
Parented to the main model by pressing Ctrl + J. I havent applied the decimate modeifier to the model because i dont want to use it in roblox as I made it for practice only. I tried using "Shade Smooth"but it makes some holes in the model (I dont know why that happens).
I still struggle with making the hands of mobs and creatures. Even with almost one and a half year of experience, I can get the hands of the model right. I’d be happy if you gave some tips on improving the hand models!
