- Describe the bug. Describe what is happening when the bug occurs. Describe what you would normally expect to occur.
I subscribe to Republic Wireless and have their most affordable plan, so I only have 3G. Opposite what I’d expect, when I play Roblox games over my phone on 3G they run indefinitely, but when I play games over my Wi-Fi 5Mhz it usually only takes a couple of minutes to get “Lost connection to the game server, please reconnect.” I never have this problem on any of the PCs in my house, or the Mac, or the Xbox.
- How often does the bug happen (Everytime/sometimes/rarely)? What are the steps that reproduce the bug? Please list them in very high detail. Provide simple example places that exhibit the bug and provide description of what you believe should be the behavior.
I don’t remember a time when it didn’t happen, so let’s call it ‘everytime’ -
Hopefully you can reproduce by getting a Moto X Pure, Android 7.0.
Run, let’s say, Super Bomb Survival, over Wi-Fi, press “Play” and and then wait about 2 minutes.
If you do manage to repro it, you can also check out that if you turn off the Wi-Fi and run the game over 3G instead, it seems to run indefinitely.
- Where does the bug happen (www, gametest, etc) Is it level-specific? Is it game specific? Please post a link to the place that exhibits the issue.
AFAICT it happens in every game I’ve played, but if you want a specific test case this one is good:
- Would a screenshot or video help describe it to someone? If so, post one.
-
For graphics bugs, it is sometimes helpful to know your system specs, especially graphics card.
-
When did the bug start happening? If we can tie it to a specific release that helps us figure out what we broke.
It hasn’t run for long over Wi-Fi for many months. (Sorry for not reporting the bug sooner.) It was only recently that I realized that it did run over 3G.
- Anything else that you would want to know about the bug if it were your job to find and fix it.
I have seen the problem on other Wi-Fi networks so hopefully you can repro.
