Animation editor and my gun model don't work very well together

I’m trying to make a reload animation for my grenade launcher but the animation editor doesn’t like the model for some reason and is breaking its animations. Any idea why?

oops i forgor :skull:
this is kinda dumb but, i changed the motor6d’s parent to Handle and changed it up, now it works properly idk why lo

do you want to make the flap (in the image which is over the starting barrel) also move with the handle?
oh and if you just opened it that was me testing the joint lol

i kinda want to do it like an average break action gun (like the shotgun), in the fact that only a part of the barrel opens up

Try welding the Handle to the body (not the barrel) then from the handle, create a motor6D and attach it to the part inside the barrel. (Make sure you have a part that is welded to the other parts in the barrel. And then you can attach the Motor6D to that part inside).

if the barrel was 69 inches long, which one would you place the hinge on, red or green one

if it was accurate to physics, probably red. the weight of the barrel would most likely snap the hinge
but green

it will soon be, im trying to make a sort of pocket grenade launcher which reloads similar to a flare gun

i recommend animating it on the tool since i just realized that you get different results depending on if its on a dummy or not

i did animate a tool in the past and that one worked. this one didnt for some reason. should i send the other tool to see what i did differently?

ok for some reason when i attach the model to a tool with a handle, it works properly
when i don’t it go commits helicopter
