This is a CONSTANT bug. All my friends are suffering from it as well.
When we edit an animation, play it, then try to stop it, the stop button crashes studio. Every time.
It’s been happening about a week and a half. We have all tried uninstalling/re-installing ROBLOX, and still are not able to use the editor. This is killing my progress on my game, and I would like it to be looked at as soon as possible.
I’m running Windows 7, if that makes a difference.

We have a fix. I was hoping to get it on the site on Monday, but now it looks like it’s held off until Wednesday night. If you need to use the animation editor I encourage you to go to www.gametest1.robloxlabs.com (the www is not optional, don’t ask why) and create an account there temporarily. The animation editor is currently fixed there.
Unfortunately you will not be able to upload the animations to www.roblox.com from that environment, but you will be able to store them locally, or even upload them to the gametest1 environment for testing. Requesting OBC on these test sites lets you acquire it for free, even if it asks for credit information, leave it blank and continue!
