Animation Editor Handle Summoning not working

Hello !
I have been on vacation since august of 2024. Recently I have resumed development and whilst using the animation editor, I realized that the handle summoning, which I use extensively, didn’t work anymore. It is still listed in the shortcuts list when using the handles so I figured this is definitely an unintended bug.

The reproduction process is pretty easy, just animate a regular rig and try summoning the handles by holding tab.
I am unsure whether or not this is due to the new draggers QOL, which I have enabled; disabling them seems to have no effect. The handle summoning works as intended in studio, it just does not work when using the Roblox Animator.

UPDATE:
I have figured that the new Draggers QOL WAS actually directly responsible for the issue, but the “Improved Constraint Tool” which are enabled by default and requires the Draggers QOL to be enabled is a sneaky culprit as well.

When disabling the Draggers QOL without disabling the Improved Constraint, the Draggers QOL (as per stated in the description) are still turned on. However it is really misleading regardless, you kind of expect the improved constraint tool beta feature to be enabled ONLY when you have purposefully and willingly enabled the QOL (both ticked on), you don’t expect the QOL to turn automatically on despite not being ticked because the constraint beta feature is turned on (only the constraint beta ticked on).

I’m fine with beta features being dependent on other beta features but having them being turned on automatically by enabling another beta feature just makes pinpointing which beta feature is responsible for which issue exponentially more complicated than it needs to be. Especially when there is no feedback to the user about which feature seems to be dependent on which, which is enabled despite being ticked off, etc.

Anyways, rant aside, this feature completely breaks, or at least sinks, the input that allows to summon the handles to your cursor when using the Animation Editor. This would need to be fixed before being pushed into production !

Hi there! Thanks for your report!

We’re looking into it.
