When I was working on a friend’s game (not owned under a group) via TC on the 14th, I saw that animations that would play despite them being owned by the owner; not the expected function where they’d fail to load and not play instead. This was a thing that existed for a long time on Roblox. But when the 14th rolled around and I could view animations, it was such a quality-of-life addition to me (and those in the TC) that I had thought it was a permanent thing, since most of the game has KeyframeReached-esc functions (making it hard to test things dependant on animations because they’d never play, forcing us to resort to some hacky solution). I believe this persisted towards the 15th.
When I came back to the same place, as of today, they have reverted to their previous function of not loading/playing. I’ve restarted Studio a couple of times to see if this was a fluke, but it remained.
I’m particularly interested if there’s a reason why TC members can’t view animations natively, or why not there is no setting for animations/game itself that allows non-owner TC members to view animations just like if they were playing the game on the normal client.
Also no, the owner has no intentions of uploading the game to a group just so we can view animations. There are too many animations to re-upload that it would be a pretty heavy task for our small team, and a lot of progress was made to the game already that we’d lose out on the place history. It would just be much more pleasant for all of us involved to have animations function as they did on the 14th.
